Give to Sacred Mission

Generosity creates avenues for the Gospel to go forward in our city and to the nations.

GENEROSITY

We own nothing, but faithfully steward everything.

WHY WE GIVE

A Response of Joy

The Open Hands of Joy-filled Release

Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. As you give with radical generosity, the mission of God advances, the gospel is preached, lives are touched, and churches are strengthened; and you, in turn, are blessed by God so that you can give again.

Open Hands Worship Better Than Closed Fists

You can't lift open hands in worship while they're clenched around what you own. A closed fist grips tightly, protects fiercely, and trusts nothing beyond itself, but an open hand is a posture of surrender, the same posture we take when we lift our hands to God in worship. When we hold our money and possessions loosely, we're declaring that God, not our bank account, is our security. Every time we give, we're practicing the same trust we sing about on Sunday morning.

We Give Because He Has Given to Us

We desire to be generous, because generosity is the way of those who call Christ their Lord. We believe generosity is a distinct trait of believers in Christ, and Scripture points to this! Our hope at Sacred Mission is that through our generous giving, we show what Christ is like to all the world.

We Give Up Things We Love for People We Love Even More

Generosity always costs something. That's what makes it generosity. We give up comfort, convenience, and things we genuinely enjoy, not because we don't value them, but because we value people more. This is the shape of Christ's love for us: he gave up glory, riches, and his very life because he loved us more than he loved his own comfort. When we give sacrificially at Sacred Mission, we're not just supporting a budget. We're loving people enough to feel the cost of it, the same way Jesus loved us enough to feel the cost of the cross.

"Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand"

2 CORINTHIANS 9: 6-7

Ways to Give

We recommend setting up recurring gifts through one of the ways below! These recurring gifts help our church wisely plan for the use of resources and manage cash balances. If you set up recurring giving, you’ll receive an email confirmation for each gift that helps you keep track of your gifts and will serve as a reminder of a worshipful and faithful act!

A simple first step

Start With a Rhythm

Recommended

Give Monthly by Bank Transfer (ACH)

A recurring gift lets us plan the year honestly, and bank transfer carries the smallest fee — so almost all of what you give goes to the work. Two minutes to set up, and you can change it any time.

Stock & crypto

Give from what you hold, not only what you earn

Most of us give out of income. But for many families the larger part of what God has entrusted to them sits in an investment account: shares, funds, digital assets. Giving those directly to the church is often the most effective gift you can make, for the mission and for your household.

Stock and Securities

Publicly traded stock, ETFs, mutual funds, and bonds. If you have held the asset more than a year and it has grown in value, transferring the shares themselves rather than selling them first means the gain is never realized.

  • No capital gains tax on the appreciation
  • Deduct the full fair market value, if you itemize
  • The church receives more than it would after a sale

Cryptocurrency

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more than ninety other tokens. The IRS treats appreciated crypto like other property, so the same advantage applies: give the asset, not the proceeds.

  • No capital gains tax on the appreciation
  • Converted to dollars on receipt, so the church carries no market risk
  • Your receipt and appraisal paperwork are generated for you

How it Works

Step one

Start the gift. Choose stock or crypto above. Our partner Engiven walks you through the transfer in a few minutes. No phone calls, no forms to mail.

Step two

The asset is received and converted. Engiven handles the transfer, sells the asset, and sends the dollars to Sacred Mission. They are SOC 2 certified and monitor every transaction for compliance.

Step three

Your paperwork arrives. You receive an automatic acknowledgement, and for larger gifts you can request the IRS forms and appraisal you need directly from your receipt.

Planning something larger — a bequest, a donor-advised fund grant, an IRA qualified charitable distribution, or a gift of property? We would be glad to talk it through with you and with your advisor. Email us.
